There is nothing better than cuddling up next to the tree and watching Christmas movies in new pajamas! My family had a tradition growing up where we would get new pajamas from Santa on December 23, so we could wear on new pajamas for Santa on Christmas Eve!! I was soooo excited when I found these jammies and even more excited when I saw the price tag--$25! Thanks H&M! They are a fair isle print with "KEEP THE MAGIC" hidden within the print. These are the perfect Christmas pajamas!!!! I get hot when I sleep, so I can't wear flannel pajamas, and a lot of the fun Christmas-themed pairs are flannel =(. These pajamas however, are pretty light-weight! If you are looking for some fun Christmas Eve pajamas that won't make you burn up, these are for you! Over the Knee Boots & Giant Scarves
Over the knee boots are here to stay. As a short girl I don't always love this trend. It takes a lot of time to find a pair that don't make me feel even shorter, but when I do I wear them to death. I love these Marc Fischer boots because they elongate my legs and the added details make them different from what you typically see. The back ties with a tassel and the toe is pointed more than rounded. The color is also great for matching all neutrals. My other boots are all dark browns or black so these add a nice mix to my shoe collection. My scarf is amazing because it is enormous (blanket scarfs are the way to go) and reversible. One side is black and white and the other is red and black. I'm showing off the black and white side currently but plan to change up my combinations to mix the two sides and wear the red as well. The best part about the scarf is that it is under $30! Size the Look: Leggings XS | Sweater S | Scarf O/S | Boots 7.5 Shop the Look: Similar Two by … [Read more...]
Holiday Party: What to Wear
Holiday parties are so tricky to maneuver. For office parties you have to balance being office appropriate while still showing your holiday spirits. Family parties usually require something trendy, but also a little stretchy for all of those family favorite treats. Last but not least friend gatherings and happy hours are the best place to go all out with your trendy and more risque holiday attire. Here are a few of my favorite options for each type of holiday party. The Office. Its pretty easy to throw on a typical red shirt and your every day pencil skirt and call that dressed up for the office party, but this is also your chance to be a little more exciting and shoe your coworkers more of your personality. I think a fun dress is the perfect option to remain appropriate while showing off your party side. The Topshop Lace & Velvet Dress has some great detail that you wouldn't typically wear to the office and shows a tiny bit more skin without being overly risque. Eliza J … [Read more...]
On Trend. The Belt & Backpack.
The very best way to spice up old outfits is to add a current accessory. It can be a trendy hat, piece of jewelry or bag. In my case I went with a belt and faux leather backpack. Each of my pieces are "old" from last season but the belt and backpack make the look much more Fall 2016. In addition to being extra trendy I love having a backpack. It is the easiest way for me to carry everything I need and my 27 pound, 9-month-old. He’s so big and squirmy that day to day a normal purse just does not work. I love this backpack because it has buttons that snap to keep its shape even when you fill it to the brim. My only issue with the belt that I purchased is the buckles don’t fit through jean loops. It’s meant to be a waist belt that just happens to fit my hips (goals!) and because of that it wasn’t made to go into pants. It unbuckles into two pieces, one short skinny piece that ties into the other long piece with both buckles attached. I just looped the front piece through the front two … [Read more...]
