Let me start this post with explaining that I have the best sister in law. She pays attention to everything I mention and then it somehow just pops up at Christmas or my birthday from someone in their family. My trench coat was one of those items. I can't remember if I was only dating my husband or engaged but this was the first time I realized that all gifts are mother in law and sister in law approved. I had mentioned to her on a shopping trip for sunglasses how much I've always wanted a classic trench coat and of course that Christmas one popped up under the tree. My Burberry Brit trench coat is a classic staple. They are super expensive (the Brit label starts around $600 and actual Burberry is over $1000) but they will never go out of style. I love this outfit for all fall work days! The sweater is comfy and the colors are so clean. I think the zipper dresses this high waisted skirt up. I love the embellishment. The shoes were an impulse purchase (oops!) but so comfortable. I've worn them to weddings and danced the night away.
