When on our honeymoon in Italy, my husband decided to spoil me rotten with not one, but two Prada purchases. When we got to Milan, we bee-lined to the Duomo Cathedral to take in all of its magnificence. On our way there we couldn't help but notice the Galleria Vittorio Emanuel--the most beautiful shopping area I've ever seen (see below). Since we were in Milan, it only seemed right to stop in Prada (headquartered in Milan).... After debating for about an hour between these two beautiful wallet/clutches, the hubby said I should just have both (I knew I married him for a reason). I love the camel clutch. It's so elegant and classic, and I know I will use it for decades. The blue wallet with the adorable bow is so stinking cute! I love the rich blue color too. It's a fun wallet that I'm sure I'll be using as a clutch as well (I made sure my phone fit inside before I bought it!). Shop this look: Classic Prada Wallet | Bow Prada Wallet … [Read more...]
Warm Weather Travel Outfit
There are a million posts online about what to wear when traveling, but they are almost always geared towards the colder months and destinations. When I was deciding what I was going to wear on the plane to Italy for my honeymoon, I knew I wanted two things: to be comfortable and to look decent when I landed. I thought up a lot of outfits that would satisfy one of those criteria, but I had a harder time finding one that did both. Then, I found this outfit! It's pretty simple, but I gotta say, I really do love it. I've paired some striped linen pants with a basic white tank top and floppy hat (to hide the plane hair). The linen pants were a lightweight alternative to shorts, which can be uncomfortable to travel in (meaning your bare legs don't touch the plane's scratchy seat). Note these pants are a little long, and I probably should have hemmed them before my trip. Tweed Blazer
I love a good tweed blazer. They are so classic, and tweed always reminds me of Chanel. Thanks to Gibson and Nordstrom though, I can look like I'm wearing a Chanel suit, without paying a Chanel price! This blazer is $98 and I am already envisioning all of the millions of ways I'm going to wear it this winter. Today I paired it with my favorite black sleeveless turtleneck, skinny jeans, black pumps, and vintage Chanel bag. The blazer is very comfortable and stretchy which means it will be comfortable to wear all day. This outfit would be perfect to wear on a jean day at work! In case you can't tell I'm half Greek. Which comes with the territory of having a lot of big fat Greek family parties. Add to that my husband is 100% Greek with over 20 Aunts & Uncles and I can't even count how many cousins. We basically have a party every other weekend. I love this Reiss dress for the family function. Its simple and classy without being boring. I paired it with nude pumps and some green jewelry I may have stolen from my mom when I moved out. She may take it back when she sees this haha.
