I was so excited for our vacation to Vail because I don't always have time to read! Between work, playing with my gorgeous baby, attempting to cook and trying to get some work outs and sleep in it's extremely difficult. I also have an odd taste in books. I love a rainbow story where everything ends happy. I am learning to let go of my favorites (Harry Potter, duh!) and branch out to read some newer books. I recently found three that I'm so excited to read. More blogs and reviews to come! Most importantly I have to read while my gold nails dry! I'm obsessed with metallic nails right now. I really want an almond manicure with pink nails and gold edges, but until that happens here are my favorite golds! … [Read more...]
Pop Fizzle Clink
The perfect bar cart can be very complicated to create, but also so much fun! It has to scream your personality and have just the right accents and color pops. My friend Katie (not that one) recently started decorating her new place and it has the best bar cart focal piece ever. It ties in whites, golds and pinks and brightens the entire room. I had every intention to be this cool mom who strolls all over the city taking advantage of the parks, museums, libraries and free activities. I managed this wonderful dream until November when Christopher started to get opinions about what he wants to do (the 9 month mark, watch out) and I decided its too cold to venture out. Now that we're almost at the end of January we have become shut ins and I relish every opportunity to get out of the house. I usually takes advantage when other people help (it really does take a village). Last Friday George left me the car (thank you to his wonderful co worker for driving him to work) and Christopher and I ventured to his first music class. My sure fire way to get us some winter activities. Here's how it went. First as we were leaving the house Christopher needed a diaper and outfit change. We finally … [Read more...]
