The very best way to spice up old outfits is to add a current accessory. It can be a trendy hat, piece of jewelry or bag. In my case I went with a belt and faux leather backpack. Each of my pieces are “old” from last season but the belt and backpack make the look much more Fall 2016.
In addition to being extra trendy I love having a backpack. It is the easiest way for me to carry everything I need and my 27 pound, 9-month-old. He’s so big and squirmy that day to day a normal purse just does not work. I love this backpack because it has buttons that snap to keep its shape even when you fill it to the brim.
My only issue with the belt that I purchased is the buckles don’t fit through jean loops. It’s meant to be a waist belt that just happens to fit my hips (goals!) and because of that it wasn’t made to go into pants. It unbuckles into two pieces, one short skinny piece that ties into the other long piece with both buckles attached. I just looped the front piece through the front two loops to keep it stable and in place and let the back rest easily.
