  • Wedding Dress Shopping Survival Guide

Pamela and I were both lucky enough to wear the wedding dresses of our dreams on our wedding days.  I think we can both attest to the fact that while we first envisioned a picture-perfect shopping experience, dress shopping can be stressful!!  I've

  • Anti-Aging Skincare Before 30

I'm 27.  I don't think I'm old yet.  I don't really have any wrinkles yet, and I don't have bags under my eyes (again, yet).  That being said, I wanted to start getting into the habit of using anti-wrinkle creams and eye serums as preventative

One of my guilty pleasures is getting sucked into Fixer Upper marathons on HGTV.  My parents used to love HGTV and I hated it when I was younger! Now, I love looking at all of the real estate and getting decorating ideas from Chip and Joanna Gaines.

Pop Fizzle Clink

February 27, 2017

The perfect bar cart can be very complicated to create, but also so much fun! It has to scream your personality and have just the right accents and color pops. My friend Katie (not that one) recently started decorating her new place and it has the best bar cart focal piece ever. It ties in whites, golds and pinks and brightens the entire room. Everything is carefully put in its place and it looks like a bottle of Champagne should be popped immediately! Here are the keys to achieving this amazing look. 1. Pick a bar car that matches the style of your house. Do you like things more modern, mid-century, classic or contemporary? Do you hate mirrors? Do you decorate with more wood, gold or silver accents? Do you want the car to have wheels? All very important questions! 2. Pick the drinks you like. A lot of people like to fill their carts with avariety of alcohol, but for a focal point in the house it will say a lot about your personality. If you're a red wine drinker don't feel … [Read more...]

Christopher’s 1st Birthday

February 23, 2017

We had the best Batman themed birthday party ever for Christopher's first birthday. He was born 5 days after his cousin, Georgio, so naturally we did a joint birthday. The boys loved every minute.  We started out with amazing invitations by Julie Hanan Designs. She created a newspaper holder to make the invites look like they were addressed to Gotham City residents. My favorite part was the "RSVP to Batman's Mom".    Next step was the decor. We didn't want to spend a fortune on floral arrangements that would end up being thrown away so we did a small photo shoot on Superbowl Sunday (while all of the guys watched the pre show). The boys looked so adorable for the camera. We framed the pictures for the tables and let everyone take them home.  We decorated both high chairs with garland and signs that said "one" and a giant number 1 balloon. Gio's was gold to recognize his golden birthday! Last but certainly not least we had the best dessert table! I had a few too many pretzel … [Read more...]

C is for Christopher

January 18, 2017

I am all about identity, initial or name necklaces that stand for something. I eventually want a Kim K. esque (think Nori) necklace for Christopher, but in the meantime I am loving my C initial necklace that I bought for $12 at Nordstrom! Shop this similar one from Target. … [Read more...]

Collar Details

January 14, 2017

How amazing is this collar detail on this blouse. I tried out the Daily Look boxes for a while and loved this shirt they sent me. Unfortunately, you can't purchase the shirt (one of the reasons I stopped) or find a good link to it. I think having a collar detail is so amazing and a great way to dress up a typical work blouse. I wore this to a house warming party for my friends who have the coolest new building. I may have even posted a few photos of the amazing details in their place :).  There are so many ways to do a great collar detail.      Lace Up Collar: The tie up the neck is such a fun trend right now and it makes for a great day to night shirt. Shop the Shirt: Y.A.S Lace Up Python Tie Collar: Similar to my shirt this one gives a great option to add the detail to the top of the shirt maintaining the classic collared look.   Shop the Shirt: Chloe & Katie Tie Blouse No Collar: One of the best ways to add detail to a collar is to take it away. This shirt is amazing … [Read more...]
