I could not help myself with the title. These are really boots with the sheep shearing but that does not sound as cool. Side note on the song. It takes me back to my freshman year of college where my floor mates, turned roommates, turned best friends, turned bridesmaids and I made up a dance to the song. It has some really good memories. Let's hope these amazing boots help us make some more. I've toyed with purchasing Sorel boots for a few winters now. I clearly caved and now own two pairs! They are warm, water proof and perfect for my mile long walks to and from work in the Chicago winters. I truly feel like I will keep them around for years to come. I love an investment piece! Music Class Woes
We have Christopher's second music class tomorrow and I am nervous! Being a mom in the city is much more stressful then I realized it would be. I had every intention to be this cool mom who strolls all over the city taking advantage of the parks, museums, libraries and free activities. I managed this wonderful dream until November when Christopher started to get opinions about what he wants to do (the 9 month mark, watch out) and I decided its too cold to venture out. Now that we're almost at the end of January we have become shut ins and I relish every opportunity to get out of the house. My sure fire way to get us some winter activities. Here's how it went. First as we were leaving the house Christopher needed a diaper and outfit change. We finally … [Read more...]
Raspberry Sweater
Chunky winter sweaters are key for the cold Chicago January and February. I bought this one for my trip to Vail (in march), but could not help myself and decided to wear it early. I have a huge problem that I am an over planner. My husband and I decided to ski in Vail this march and I have already booked multiple dinner reservations (depending on our mood that night) and planned all of my outfits. You need time for the new things to ship right?! I particularly love this sweater because of the amazing raspberry color. Its so beautiful and compliments my pale winter skin very well. The sleeve detail makes it so much more functional because typically my baggy sweater sleeves fall past my hands and get caught on my jewelry. My sweater rule is usually high neck and shorter so you can see your hips or long with a deeper neck. This way I avoid making myself look heavier than I am. I paired it with leggings today, but it looks awesome with skinny jeans or leather leggings. Dress up or down! My … [Read more...]
New Favorite Sweater
This sweater is perfect. It's warm and chunky but also short so you don't lose your body shape wearing it. Gray goes with everything and if you opt to wear it on Christmas (as I did) you won't feel stuffed over indulging in cookies.
