There is something so cozy about wearing flannel in the fall! It just gives me images of curling up next to a fireplace with hot apple cider. I love it! I also love the millions of different ways you can wear flannel. It can be dressed up or down. Here I've shown you an in-between look. I should note that I bought this shirt in a tall-small (I wanted a flannel that was going to be long enough to wear as a tunic if I wore it with leggings). It's a bit of a boyfriend-fit now, but I love it! This would be a great brunch outfit! (Can you tell that when it gets cold in Chicago all we do is eat? Game Day Fashion
It's fall, so you know what that means--FOOTBALL SEASON!!! I have to say, that I actually love football. I was raised to be a die-hard St. Louis Rams fan, but because of less-than-graceful move to Los Angeles, I've had to pick a new team to support. I settled on the Chicago Bears (duh, I live in Chicago), and the Houston Texans (my parents have a house about an hour outside of Texas now). Gathering at a bar to watch a game is one of my favorite Sunday activities. I also have the perfect outfit for it! Gingham Vest
I got this vest last year to do engagement pictures in. Unfortunately, we did our engagement pictures in the dead of winter in Chicago, so I needed more to have on more than just a vest haha! This was the outfit I was imagining though when I picked out the vest!! I've paired it with a tailored white button-down, skinny jeans, and brown booties. I love this look. I feel like I could be in a Ralph Lauren catalog in it. It's super classic looking, and I can imagine the Duchess wearing something similar. You could also add a pop of color in with a fun scarf! One thing to note about my button-down: it actually fits! It's really hard for me to find button-downs that do because I have decently large shoulders, but a narrow waste. I've found that Brooks Brothers shirts fit me the best, and is what I'm wearing in the pics below! I'm debating about wearing this for Thanksgiving this year!! Stay tuned... Pink Puffy Vest
I am a big fan of puffy vests in the fall, so it's basically a guarantee that you will be seeing a lot of them from me! This vest is one of my favorites. For one: the color. It's so fun! And when the weather starts to get cold and dreary I need some color in my life; this vest brings it! The fit of the vest is also on point! It's not too puffy (in my opinion, anyway), but it's still plenty warm!
