Who isn't always looking for a new brunch tee?? A few of my girlfriends got me this t-shirt for my bachelorette party and I love it! For those of you who don't know me yet, I'm a huge fan of champagne, so this shirt spoke to my spirit animal. It is also the softest shirt ever!! Most of the time I shop by feel. Something has to be REALLY cute for me to purchase it if it's not that soft. This shirt is like wearing butter. I paired this with a pair of jeans and flats to keep the casual vibe going. As the weather gets colder I'll add a chunky cardigan to the look! Shop the size: T-shirt - Small | Jeans - 26 | Shoes - 9 Shop the look: T-Shirt | Jeans (similar) | Shoes … [Read more...]
Cartier LOVE Necklace
Dave and I decided to exchange presents the morning of our wedding. I got Dave an Air King Rolex, and Dave surprised me with a Cartier LOVE necklace. This was especially sweet because Dave's wedding band is also part of the Cartier LOVE collection, so we matched! I have been tellingDave forever that I wanted rose gold jewelry, and he must of been listening, because he got my necklace in the "pink gold" option. I love the symbolism behind the design, and am convinced the necklace goes with absolutely everything. I haven't taken it off since Dave gave it to me, so be sure to look for it in all of our honeymoon pics! Shop this look: Cartier LOVE Necklace … [Read more...]
Italian Honeymoon – Part 3
Trieste After Venice, Dave and I hopped on another train bound for Trieste! Trieste is a lesser-known destination in Northern Italy, but it was beautiful! My dad suggested it, and said that there would probably be fewer Americans there, and that it would be cheaper than most of the places we intended to visit. He was right on both accounts! Trieste feels a lot different than the other areas of Italy I have visited. It has changed governing bodies a lot throughout its history, and you can definitely feel the different influences. Austrian influences are very strong in the region. There is actually a big debate on whether the wiener schnitzel was truly invented in Austria, or if the Austrian's got their recipe from the Trieste dish "cotoletta alla milanese." I tried the cotoletta when I was in Trieste, and I must say, it tasted exactly like wiener schnitzel in Austria. I don't think think we will ever truly know who invented it at this point, but I … [Read more...]
Italian Honeymoon – Part 2
Venice After Lake Como and Milan, Dave and I took a train to Venice! (BTW there are two train stations in Venice - one is in the heart of Venice, and one is further out. If you are staying in "downtown" Venice, make sure you travel to Venizia Santa Lucia.) Dave and I decided to be adventurous and try to take the public ferry down the grand canal to get to our hotel instead of taking a water taxi (we saved like 75 euros doing it this way). It worked out, but man, it was CROWDED!! We made it to our hotel, and were blown away by the views of the grand canal. It was stunning. We quickly dropped off our bags and started exploring. Venice is one of my favorite cities in the world. There is something so magical and unique about it. There are no streets--only canals and walkways. The walkways are a complete maze, and it's so much fun to get lost wandering. Dave and I ended up walking over 30 miles in two and half … [Read more...]
