I am really loving the long sweater and vest trend this season! Pairing them to a simple t-shirt and jeans adds such a fun element to your outfit! For this outfit I started with my favorite Levi white jeans (under $40!!) and plain white t-shirt (I picked it up at T.J. Maxx for $9), and added this long Gap sweater vest and Sperry ankle boots. My favorite thing about this outfit is it could be worn all year long! I wouldn't recommend wearing it in 90 degree heat, but it would definitely work on those cooler summer nights! Turtleneck and Boots
With fall right around the corner I have been trying to come up with good transitional outfits using both summer and fall pieces. I think this look is one of my favorites! I've paired a sleeveless black turtleneck, skinny jeans, with over-the-knee suede boots. This outfit is so chic and simple. The top is lightweight which makes it perfect for those barely-cool fall days. (Note: I ordered a small, it fits, but is definitely "body-hugging." If you want a looser fit, maybe order one size up from your normal size.) These over-the-knee suede boots were featured on an earlier post, and I'm still obsessed with them. They are so cute, and surprisingly comfortable. They also come in black leather, and light tan suede. Something else you may have noticed about this outfit is I'm mixing brown and black! H&M Maxi Dress
When I was in Nashville for one of my girlfriend's bachelorette's this summer I stopped a girl in the bar to ask her where she bought her dress, and then proceeded to buy it on my phone while I waited for my drink at the bar. This is the dress! It was an H&M steal! Less than $35! It's very light weight, which is perfect for this Chicago heat! The high slit and flowy top make it a flirty date night option. A Sucker for Seersucker
I am OBSESSED with this dress! I wish I would have found it earlier in the summer, because I plan on wearing it until it starts snowing--that's how much I love it. I have been seeing a lot of off-the-shoulder dresses and tops, and was apprehensive to try the trend (mainly because I hate strapless bras), but I'm so glad I did! The bow on the front neckline was the perfect touch to this sweet dress! I've paired the dress with my bow flats, and another one of my grandma's vintage Chanel bags. Oh!
