I've noticed that one of the big trends this summer is lemon print, and I can't tell you how much I love it! It's so cheery and bright! I love yellow, but wearing a whole dress that's bright yellow can be a bit much. Lemon print is a great way to be able to tie in the vibrant color without looking like a walking highlighter! Since I've already proclaimed my love of lemons, you might be shocked to know it took me forever to pull the trigger on a lemon print piece! Juicing and Souping
Cleansing is probably one of the hardest things I have ever done for a few reasons. First, I love food. Second, I don't particularly love the texture of juices. One of the key reasons Katie and I are so close is our palate (my one year old is willing to try more diverse foods than we are). So, when my nutritionist suggested a cleanse to get back on track for summer I immediately asked 'does a donut cleanse count?' and she (shockingly) said no. She suggested a soup cleanse that I could get on board with. Three days, a juice for breakfast, soup broth for every meal and if you really needed a hard boiled egg for a snack. I was impressed with myself that I did not feel the need to snack and the soup was actually extremely filling. I made 2 different kinds of soup (chicken noodle - no chicken or noodles, and tomato) and ate them consistently for the cleanse. Tie That Top
Shop my new favorite top to wear with jean anything: skirts, pants, shorts etc. The clean white is perfect for summer and the cute built in tie adds a great detail to an otherwise boring off the shoulder. Black Jumpsuit
Rocking my Norma Kamali jumpsuit for a bridal shower and loving the deep V and excuse to wear my nude t strap heels! This is probably the most comfortable fabric I've ever worn. I love that the jumpsuit can function for a daytime event like a bridal shower or a night out on the town. I'd probably pair it with black ankle strap shoes for a night out.
