Chunky winter sweaters are key for the cold Chicago January and February. I bought this one for my trip to Vail (in march), but could not help myself and decided to wear it early. I have a huge problem that I am an over planner. My husband and I decided to ski in Vail this march and I have already booked multiple dinner reservations (depending on our mood that night) and planned all of my outfits. You need time for the new things to ship right?! I particularly love this sweater because of the amazing raspberry color. Its so beautiful and compliments my pale winter skin very well. The sleeve detail makes it so much more functional because typically my baggy sweater sleeves fall past my hands and get caught on my jewelry. My sweater rule is usually high neck and shorter so you can see your hips or long with a deeper neck. This way I avoid making myself look heavier than I am. I paired it with leggings today, but it looks awesome with skinny jeans or leather leggings. Dress up or down! My casual wear trick to leggings is that I always wear yoga pants. They’re a little thicker and do not stretch out as much throughout the day. I have thicker legs so any normal leggings end up looking like pants within 2 hours of having them on. It’s still early so please give me more vacation shopping suggestions!
