BAM! I decorated. I cooked. I made it nice! And we all had an amazing time at Real Housewives Trivia Night. While Katie hasn’t fully jumped on the real housewives band wagon her husband, Dave, is all about the drama, turtle time and wigs. Dave, a different Katie and I keep a running text thread of our housewives obsession and decided a trivia party was necessary. We roped most of our other friends into playing along and threw an amazing party. Each guest chose a housewife counter part. Katie claimed Yolanda (Beverly Hills) since she doesn’t watch most of the shows and wanted to blame any wrong answers on her Lyme Disease. I love champs and am married to a doctor so I thought Heather (Orange County) was the perfect fit. In retrospect I wish I had gone with someone a little over the top. My outfit could have been more fun. The winners of the night in the costume department were definitely Katie (Bethenny, New York) and Ashley (Vicki, Orange County). They COMMITTED!
Our food of choice was Real Housewives of Chicago themed. Yes, we know there is not actually a RHOC, but a girl can dream. The menu: Garrett’s Popcorn & Pizza. We could have made it more Chicago with some deep dish, but we’re housewives and thats just too many calories :). In true housewife form we also had to include some sprinkle cookies, lemons for your drinks and vegan goodies for Carole. What Real Housewife party would be complete without themed liquor? Our only issue here was finding it. LVP and Ramona if you’re out there we need more Sangria and Pinot Grigio selections in Chicago! Natalie brought the Pinot and improvised well.
My absolute favorite party of the night was the gifting. Obviously our bar was sponsored by Skinny Girl. Katie committed to her character and made sure not only to wear Skinny Girl red, but also gift everyone with product. We died laughing and this is my new favorite mug!
This was such an amazing night and we had so much fun! In the end we didn’t keep score but I’m hoping for a Part 2.
