Yayy its anniversary week! In case you didn’t know Katie and I are both married. Our wonderful husbands take a lot of our photos now that we are separated by so many miles 🙁
We also happened to get married 3 years apart on the same weekend. That’s basically where the similarities stop because we both did our weddings completelydifferent, but in honor of our anniversary week I wanted to share some of my favorite moments from both weddings.
Bridesmaids Blunders
At my wedding poor Katie forgot the bow that went on her bridesmaid dress. She was so scared to disappoint me (I swear I was not that big of a bridezilla) that her mom offered to buy the bow a ticket on a plane to get to Chicago before the ceremony! (They did not let her, apparently its illegal). Dave ended up finding a bridal store with a sample bow and brought it along with a sewing kit to the church. All the while I could care less if she wore the bow or not. Do you see why I love her so much?!
At Katie’s wedding I chose a pinterest hairstyle and was beyond excited for an updo. It went terribly wrong, a fact I recognized when Kaite walked in and eyes open wide said “looks good”. I hated it so much I had to run up to my hotel room and change the entire style. The worst part. The girl who did it was still in the room and I had to explain it just wasn’t me.
The Food
Katie and I continue to bond over our similarities. One thing we have in common aside from all of our friends is our taste in food and alcohol. Champs and Mac & Cheese please!
Katie was beyond amazing and at her wedding she chose a special meal for only two guests. Chicken tenders. The guests? Her father and me. I was beyond honored.
One of my favorite moments during my wedding was sharing a laughing photo with Katie. It was beyond awkward to take, but no worries we got to repeat it at hers! Wedding photogs!! haha.
Happy First Anniversary to Katie & Dave! George and I love sharing this weekend with such an amazing pair.
