I realize dusters have typically been Katie’s MO this month, but I’m getting a turn now. I used to rock dusters (and call them daytime robes) in grade school. I had a killer gray one that I gave away and wish I hadn’t. It’s wishful thinking that it would still fit. Instead I will have to settle for this caramel colored one. Good thing its still so cute! The duster has the perfect pocket placement for chilly days and the color goes with just about any fall outfit you can imagine. I paired it with Burberry sunglasses that really tie it in, my go to J Brand jeans and my new favorite turtle neck. Most important to the outfit are my “cool mom shoes” as discussed with another awesome mom I know. We realized at a recent wedding that we are now purchasing shoes a little more practically. Can I carry a baby with these on? Can I run around after him? Can I wear them on no sleep without toppling over? These checked every requirement! They are cute and high like I want but the thick heel means I could run a marathon, or just get through another day of being a mom. Jury is out on which is more difficult.
